Who I Work With
My Approach
I integrate evidence-based, trauma-informed care tailored to your goals, drawing on:
Every session is person-centered — you set the pace, and we build a plan around what healing looks like for you.
Education: Cherylynn graduated from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, with a Bachelor's in Organizational Communication, and earned her Master's in Social Work from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
Bio: Cherylynn's therapeutic career began in Montana, working alongside a local task force dedicated to combating human trafficking — an experience that deepened her commitment to supporting survivors of trauma and mental health challenges. She specializes in helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, eating disorders, relational difficulties, and trauma. Her trauma-informed, person-centered approach creates a judgment-free space to process the past, build practical tools for the present, and move toward genuine healing.
Outside of practice: Cherylynn enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting with her husband, along with crocheting, jewelry-making, and abstract art. More than anything, she treasures time with her children and grandchildren.

Reaching out for support takes courage — I'm glad you're here.

What if we're not a good fit?
That's okay, and it's an important thing to pay attention to. Fit matters in therapy, and I'd rather you find the right therapist than stay somewhere that isn't working. We can talk about it openly, and I'm happy to help you find a referral if needed.
What if I've had a bad experience with therapy before?
Many clients come to me after a therapy experience that didn't feel helpful or safe. I take that seriously — we'll go at your pace, and you're always in control of what we talk about and how fast we move.
How do I know if we'll click?
It's normal to wonder this before starting. A first session is as much about you getting a feel for me as it is about me learning about you. There's no obligation to continue if it doesn't feel right, and I'd rather you tell me than just not book again.
What if I don't know what to say or where to start?
That's completely normal — you don't need to have it figured out. I'll guide the conversation and ask questions to help you find your way in.
What happens in a first session?
We'll spend time getting to know each other, talk through what brought you to therapy, and start shaping goals for our work together. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Standard sessions are 50 minutes. Frequency depends on your needs — many clients start weekly and adjust from there.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes — all sessions are held virtually via secure video for clients in Montana and Colorado. There is no in-person option at this time.
What if I don't have insurance or you're not in-network with my plan?
Self-pay sessions are available — reach out and we can discuss options.
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. Therapy is a confidential space, with limited legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to yourself or others), which I'll review with you at our first session.
